Is it safe to shoot a confetti cannon inside?

Yes, you can safely use a confetti cannon indoors.

We regularly supply confetti cannons to private parties in village halls, weddings in marquees, corporate events in hotels as well as theatres and TV productions. They are used indoors more than out!

Our confetti cannons are loaded with flameproof confetti and powered by compressed nitrogen so there is no smoke, heat or sparks when fired.

Venues come in all shapes and sizes, so it is important to match the size of the confetti cannon you buy to the space available. Small (30cm) cannons fire up to 8 metres, medium (50cm) cannons fire up to 10 metres and large (80cm) cannons fire up to 12 metres.

To maximise the covereage, we recommend firing the confetti cannons in pairs, criss-crossed over the area you want to cover whilst bearing in mind the size and range of the cannons. With small cannons, you'll need to stand on the corners of the dance floor.

Large confetti cannons are only suitable for bigger venues or outside areas, whereas a small cannon is just right to cover a dance floor.

If you are firing your confetti cannon outside, please bear in mind that the confetti will drift on the wind. Stand upwind of the area you want the confetti to cover and it will drift gracefully over your guests.

The second thing to consider is the type of confetti. This is very important as not all confetti can be used indoors and some cannot be used outside.

Tissue confetti is biodegradable and flameproof so can be used indoors or out. It comes in a wide range of colours to match your theme or corporate colours.

BioFetti is water soluble so is ideally suited to sensitive outdoor sites where a fast clean-up is required. It is not flameproof so is not suitable for indoor use.

BioGlitter is the only shiny biodegradable metallic confetti and is also flameproof making it suitable for use inside or out.

Traditional metallic confetti is made from plastic so is not biodegradable and must not be used outdoors. It is flameproof so is safe for indoor events although many venues and production companies now prefer or even insist on BioGlitter as it is more environmentally friendly.
